{"id":10941,"date":"2021-05-19T19:57:02","date_gmt":"2021-05-19T17:57:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/marineforum.online\/?p=10941"},"modified":"2021-05-19T19:57:02","modified_gmt":"2021-05-19T17:57:02","slug":"back-and-forth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/marineforum.online\/en\/hin-und-her\/","title":{"rendered":"Back and forth"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After a month's interruption, the Canadian frigate <span style=\"font-variant: small-caps;\">Halifax<\/span> is now once again the flagship of the Standing NATO Maritime Group 1 (SNMG 1). It has taken over this function from the Danish frigate <span style=\"font-variant: small-caps;\">Absalon<\/span>the type ship of its class, which entered service in 2007, was previously the <span style=\"font-variant: small-caps;\">Halifax<\/span> the flagship.<br \/>\nSNMG 1 currently consists of just these two ships and is under the command of Canadian Commodore Bradley Peats. Until 14 May, the two frigates took part in the Joint Warrior exercise off the Scottish coast. At the heart of this major manoeuvre, which will continue until 20 May, was the British carrier <span style=\"font-variant: small-caps;\">Queen Elizabeth<\/span>which is preparing for a tour of Asia lasting several months. After a harbour stop in Brest, France <span style=\"font-variant: small-caps;\">Absalon<\/span> and <span style=\"font-variant: small-caps;\">Halifax<\/span> will be taking part in another NATO exercise over the next few days.
