This extension includes, among other things<strong> Modernisation of the combat backpacks<\/strong> for all soldiers in the armed forces, but also the procurement of new basic equipment and special equipment for the armed forces. <strong>Splinter protection clothing for the special forces<\/strong>. In addition, the civilian and military <strong>New protective clothing for Bundeswehr firefighters<\/strong> in a heavy-duty version and, for the first time, in a light-duty version. The contract with BwBM GmbH, which has been in place since summer 2016, has now been extended to a <strong>Total volume of almost 3.9 billion euros<\/strong> on. Let's hope that this investment \"takes effect\" quickly, it is urgently needed. In recent years, there has been repeated public criticism and media malice about the availability of equipment and uniform parts, including in the annual reports of the defence commissioners. With this clear signal, the BAAINBw has shown its willingness to put an end to this criticism.
