Photo: PIZ Marine<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Message from 14.29.2021:<\/strong> On Thursday, 16 September at 10 a.m., there will be a <strong>Frigate<\/strong> \"<strong>Rhineland-Palatinate<\/strong>\" the change of command of the crew <strong>F125<\/strong> \"<strong>Echo<\/strong>\" will take place. The commander of the 4th Frigate Squadron, Captain Dirk Jacobus (51), will hand over command from Frigate Captain Jan Jansen (48) to Frigate Captain Sascha Huth (42) at the naval base in Kiel.<\/p>\n<p>Outgoing Commander Frigate Captain Jan Jansen looks back on an exciting time: \"There is no one-size-fits-all recipe for the tasks of a commander - everyone has to find their own way. Nothing could have prepared me adequately for the challenges of the last few years, extreme flexibility right up to the last day. I am very happy that my crew 'Echo' has faced these challenges together with me and has always been highly motivated.\"<\/p>\n<p>After four years in command, Frigate Captain Jansen will move to the Bundeswehr Planning Office. His successor, Frigate Captain Huth, was previously First Officer of the frigate \"Hamburg\" and is now moving to head the crew \"<strong>Echo<\/strong>\".<\/p>\n<p>\"For a naval officer, an assignment as commander is the crowning achievement of his operational career. I am very pleased to be taking over this crew, whose willingness and readiness to perform I have already been able to convince myself of. It is now up to us to grow together and achieve full operational capability.
