On 23 September, the Deputy Inspector of the Navy and Commander of the Fleet and Support Forces\u00a0 <\/strong><\/h2>\n

The always impressive building of the M\u00fcrwik Naval Academy was the worthy backdrop for the transfer of the second-highest officer in the naval branch of the armed forces.<\/p>\n

Vice Admiral Brinkmann retired after more than 45 years of service. He began his service in 1976 as a conscript on a speedboat and remained loyal to this weapon. He was officer of the watch, commander and chairman of the speedboat drivers' association to this day. Among other things, he was commander of S 53 Pelikan and became commander of the 7th speedboat squadron in 1997. After working in personnel management, the Federal Ministry of Defence, the Personnel Office and the Navy Office, he became Chief of Staff of Operational Flotilla 1 in Kiel in 2007, before becoming its commander in 2008. In 2010, he became Head of Sub-Department PSZ I at the BMVg in Bonn and, as Rear Admiral, Deputy Commander of the Operational Command in Potsdam in 2012. Since 2014 he has been Deputy Inspector of the Navy<\/strong> and commander of the fleet and support forces. The creator of one of the longest titles of a service position in the navy was always favoured by marineforum and was happy to make contributions. We would like to take this opportunity to thank him warmly. His successor is Jan Kaack, who was previously commander of the NATO Joint Warfare Centre in Stavanger, Norway.<\/p>\n

We will <\/span>Instead, we should always ask ourselves whether and to what extent we are doing them justice. <\/span>These values form the basis for the will to defend our freedom, <\/span>our values and the people of our country. <\/span><\/span>We will face every challenge head on.<\/span> To this end, we will <\/span>increase our personnel and material readiness and optimise our processes. <\/span>more agile <\/span>design <\/span>must, <\/span>at <\/span>also <\/span>short term <\/span>maritime <\/span>Options for action <\/span>to provide. And that is why we will continue our <\/span>Making skills more visible. Let's use every opportunity to emphasise the value of our marine <\/span>and to present our special skills to the public. <\/span><\/span>My <\/span>Vision:<\/span> I <\/span>would like to, <\/span>that <\/span>we <\/span>become, <\/span>who <\/span>we <\/span>are: <\/span>powerful <\/span>Combat community - intact family - responsible citizens. <\/span><\/span>Because that is exactly what defines us and that is how we will measure ourselves. <\/span><\/span>WE are navy and I am one of WE!\"<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
