After this long and difficult shipyard phase, I would have loved to have experienced sea voyages with my crew and mastered the challenges that lay ahead. I am equally looking forward to the coming personal changes<br \/>\nand the new tasks that my new post will entail, as well as being able to hand over the 'Hessen' to an outstanding successor and my friend, Frigate Captain Volker K\u00fcbsch, and to know that both the ship and the crew are in good hands. I wish the crew and Frigate Captain K\u00fcbsch every soldier's happiness,\" said the outgoing commander.
