Today the corvette \"Braunschweig\" returned from <\/span><\/span>of the UNIFIL mission<\/span> (United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon). <\/span><\/span>She was welcomed by<\/span> the Lord Mayor of the Hanseatic and University City of Rostock, Claus Ruhe Madsen (49).<\/span><\/span><\/span>

With music byMarius M\u00fcller-Westernhagen \"I'm here again\"<\/span> and a<\/span> home pennant returned the \"Braunschweig\" <\/span><\/span>with its 60-strong crew <\/span><\/span>under the command of Corvette Captain Pascal St\u00f6rk.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The task of the blue helmet soldiers was to<\/span> the<\/span> Lebanese coast<\/span> the lake area<\/span> and to monitor a<\/span> possible<\/span> to prevent arms smuggling on the ground. In addition, the<\/span> the local<\/span> Marine<\/span> in the<\/span> Coastal protection<\/span> from<\/span> -<\/span> a permanent<\/span> Secondary task of the<\/span> Rostock<\/span> Naval servicemen and women.<\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span>For more than 15 years now, the German Navy has been involved in the UN mission in the<\/span> Mediterranean and took over the leadership of the mission again last year. Just under nine months<\/span> the corvette \"Braunschweig\" served as a platform in the theatre of operations. During this time, the <\/span>ship has travelled more than 20,000 nautical miles. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
