{"id":18475,"date":"2022-04-14T09:30:00","date_gmt":"2022-04-14T07:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/marineforum.online\/?p=18475"},"modified":"2022-04-12T17:08:42","modified_gmt":"2022-04-12T15:08:42","slug":"offshore-wind-power-accident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/marineforum.online\/en\/offshore-windkraft-unfall\/","title":{"rendered":"Offshore wind power accident"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Following the failure of an offshore wind turbine in a Danish offshore wind farm, offshore wind power developer Orsted is asking the relevant authorities to set up \"no-entry zones\" in some of its offshore wind farms.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As Orsted announced on Wednesday, a rotor and three blades came loose from the nacelle of one of the offshore wind turbines at its 400-megawatt Anholt offshore wind farm and fell into the sea. No people were injured in the accident. However, as a precautionary measure, Orsted is asking the authorities to set up temporary exclusion zones at other wind farms with the same turbines as the one that failed.<\/p>\n<p>The Anholt offshore wind farm was commissioned in 2013 and consists of 111 Siemens Gamesa wind turbines with 3.6 MW. Other farms using these turbines include West of Duddon Sands, Lincs, Gunfleet Sands, Burbo Bank and Walney 1 &amp; 2, all in the UK, Borkum Riffgrund 1 in Germany and Aved\u00f8re Holme in Denmark.<\/p>\n<p>Orsted is one of the world's leading developers of offshore wind turbines and builds and operates offshore wind farms in Denmark, the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Taiwan and the United States.
