The \"Berlin\" was part of the multinational Cold Response exercise, in which around 30,000 <\/strong><strong>soldiers from 27 nations with 50 ships and boats as well as 200 aircraft practised the defence and military reinforcement of Norway until the beginning of April.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There is no connection with the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine. \"Even under the most adverse climatic conditions that we were confronted with there, we were able to send a strong signal of cohesion together with the other NATO partners,\" said Commander \"Berlin\", Frigate Captain Stefan Klatt (53). Norway's neighbouring countries Sweden and Finland also took part in the manoeuvre. Although they are not NATO members, they have been cooperating intensively with the Alliance for years.<\/p>\n<p>This year's exercise focussed on bringing NATO military reinforcements to Norway. To this end, maritime operations such as amphibious landings of troops and material were practised. The EGV was able to provide active support as a supply ship. \"Among the numerous sea supply manoeuvres that we carried out during this time were two very special ones, much to my delight. Firstly, we worked with the American<br \/>\nOn the other hand, the 400th ship on our port side was supplied with fuel by the destroyer 'USS Donald Cook', and a little later the 750th supply of fuel to a unit at sea by the 'Berlin' took place; the recipient was in the port side.<br \/>\nIn this case, the corvette 'Erfurt',\" summarises the commander. \"The crew is very proud of what they have achieved and we are now looking forward to returning home and spending the Easter holidays with our families and friends,\" concludes frigate captain Klatt.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Am Donnerstag, den 14.
