The type boat K-560 \"Severodvinsk\" has been on its keel for 30 years, but the subsequently modified M-boats only followed a good 15 years later. Construction numbers 2 and 3, K-561 \"Kazan\" and K-573 \"Novosibirsk\", are already in service with the Northern Fleet - the following three boats, K-571 \"Krasnoyarsk\", K-564 \"Arkhangelsk\" and \"Perm\", are to be assigned to the Pacific Fleet, with K-571 currently undergoing its functional trials with the Northern Fleet. Photo: Sevmash shipyard<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">First \"Zircon\" submarine<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">According to the latest information from Russian news agencies, \"Perm\", construction number 6, will be the first boat in this class to be equipped with launch containers from which the new 3M22 \"Zircon\" hypersonic weapons can also be deployed - this will require minor structural modifications. This boat is scheduled to be launched before the end of 2024 and handed over for use in 2026. The \"Zircon\" has already completed its first test launches in the White Sea in autumn 2022.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Building programme<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Three more boats are to follow, all of which have been under construction since mid-2020 at the latest: \"Ulyanovsk\", \"Voronezh\" and \"Vladivostok\".
