Half of the incidents occurred in Southeast Asian waters, particularly in the Singapore Strait, where incidents continue to increase. In the high-risk waters of the Gulf of Guinea, the number of incidents fell from 35 in 2021 to 19 in 2022. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">ICC Germany Secretary General Oliver Wieck<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\"<span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">The continuously declining figures show what coordinated and effective global cooperation can achieve. These are positive developments not only for seafarers and the shipping industry.
