The client had set a tight schedule for the shipyard with its almost 500 employees. The contract, which was awarded by the Indonesian Ministry of Defence on 29 January 2019, is worth 204 million US dollars (approx. 183 million euros). The design of the 62-metre vessels is based on the German Navy's Frankenthal class. The boats are equipped with a state-of-the-art sonar system and drones for mine warfare. As with the MCM mission systems used by the German Navy on the Frankenthal class, drones and a RHIB for intervention tasks are also supplied. The Kiel-based company <span class=\"subtitle_description__W7S7V audio-subtitle\">for marine electronics <\/span>Ansch\u00fctz GmbH. The first steel plates were fired on 26 November 2020. Non-magnetisable steel was used to build the two boats. \"We are one of the few shipyards in the world that can process this special steel,\" says Hans M. Schaedla, CEO of the manufacturing company Abeking &amp; Rasmussen.
