On Sunday, 13 August 2023 at 1 p.m., the corvette \"Oldenburg\"\u00a0<\/span>will leave her home port of Warnem\u00fcnde during the Hanse Sail to take part in both the\u00a0<\/span>mandated foreign mission UNIFIL (United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon) before the\u00a0<\/span>Lebanese coast and in the NATO Aegean support mission.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Under the command of Corvette Captain Markus Schwefer (38), the crew will be\u00a0<\/span>will initially embark on a transit to Limassol (Cyprus). From here, the corvette will join the\u00a0<\/span>Class<\/span> K130<\/span> until<\/span> probably<\/span> End<\/span> october<\/span> before<\/span> the<\/span> Lebanese<\/span> Coast<\/span> with<\/span> the\u00a0<\/span>maritime surveillance and the training of the Lebanese Navy as part of the\u00a0<\/span>support the UNIFIL mission.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
