{"id":30791,"date":"2023-08-10T15:00:00","date_gmt":"2023-08-10T13:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/marineforum.online\/?p=30791"},"modified":"2023-08-10T13:21:17","modified_gmt":"2023-08-10T11:21:17","slug":"the-tender-rhine-returns-from-the-aegean","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/marineforum.online\/en\/tender-rhein-kehrt-aus-der-aegaeis-zurueck\/","title":{"rendered":"Tender \"Rhein\" returns from the Aegean Sea"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span id=\"page119R_mcid6\" class=\"markedContent\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">On Sunday, 13 August 2023 at 10 a.m., the tender \"Rhein\" will be launched from the NATO<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">support mission in the Aegean Sea back to its home port of Kiel.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span id=\"page119R_mcid8\" class=\"markedContent\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Almost exactly six months ago, Corvette Captain Sebastian Lenz (33) and his crew\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">the \"Rhine\" tender as the German contribution and command platform for Standing NATO\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Maritime Group 2 (SNMG 2). The NATO operation deployed in the Mediterranean\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">took the Kiel-based supply vessel and its 72-strong crew to a wide variety of harbours in\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Greece, Turkey and Italy. The crew also included a Turkish and\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Greek liaison officer.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span id=\"page119R_mcid10\" class=\"markedContent\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Throughout the entire period, the support squadron's\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">boat the opportunity to co-operate with the Greek and Turkish coastguards.\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">and navy, as well as other nations such as France and Great Britain, and\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">to improve.<\/span><\/span><span id=\"page119R_mcid11\" class=\"markedContent\"><\/span><span id=\"page119R_mcid12\" class=\"markedContent\"><br role=\"presentation\" \/><\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Am Sonntag, den 13.
