From Kiel <\/strong><strong>national and international marine projects.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rohde &amp; Schwarz has invested in the Kiel site and moved into new premises in order to expand its traditionally close co-operation with the German Navy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Together with guests, including Daniel G\u00fcnther - Minister President of Schleswig-Holstein, Dr Johann Wadephul - Deputy Chairman of the CDU\/CSU parliamentary group in the Bundestag, Dr Ulf K\u00e4mpfer - Lord Mayor of the state capital Kiel and Rear Admiral Christoph M\u00fcller-Meinhard - Commander Support and Head of the Operational Support Department of the German Navy, as well as numerous high-ranking participants from politics, the Bundeswehr and business, the centre of excellence was opened in Kiel Science Park.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rohde &amp; Schwarz has been a partner to more than 40 navies around the world for decades. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Together with its location in Hamburg, the new Kiele, with its proximity to the naval and shipyard locations <\/span>good conditions for long-term co-operation. The Rohde &amp; Schwarz team from Kiel, which currently has around 60 employees, has been working on complex large-scale naval projects in the areas of software development, system engineering and integration for many years. The focus here is on systems for communication and electronic support measures (self-protection) on naval units. The technology group also favours cooperation with local partners and promotes talent in the north. The proximity to Kiel's Christian-Albrechts University and the Hermann Ehlers Foundation provides an ideal basis for a close exchange with research and teaching.
