Apply for the transfer or exchange of old recreational craft licences!<\/strong><\/p>\n

The recreational boating licence in cheque card format is not only practical because it fits in your wallet to save space, but unlike the old paper documents, it is also robust and robust and can also get wet, for example - a real boating licence! The end of the season and the coming, mostly \"boat-free\" winter period is the ideal time to apply to the German Motor Yacht Association (DMYV) to exchange or transfer your old licence into the new format.<\/p>\n

Exchange and transfer for Old driving licences and other certificates of competence<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is aimed at all those who either still have old recreational boating licences from the old federal states or who have licences for which the test was taken in the former GDR. Although these licences are still valid, it is recommended that they are exchanged for the new, practical cheque card format.<\/p>\n

Other certificates of competence that entitle the holder to drive a boat, such as Lake Constance skipper's licences, service licences from the German armed forces, police or fire brigade, DLRG driving licences, etc., are also converted into a recreational boating licence in cheque card format in the DMYV's driving licence department.<\/p>\n

Uncomplicated and unbureaucratic at the DMYV <\/strong><\/p>\n

Exchanging or transferring your licence is very straightforward: Complete and sign the application for the transfer or exchange and the direct debit authorisation for the processing fee, enclose the old driving licence and a passport photo, and send everything by post to the office of the Deutscher Motoryachtverband e.V., Vinckeufer 12-14 in 47119 Duisburg<\/em><\/strong> send.<\/p>\n

Anyone who has lost their recreational boating licence can also apply for a replacement licence and then receive a new licence. Apply directly at the stand<\/strong><\/p>\n

The DMYV driving licence department team will also be on site at the DMYV stand, the home port for all motorised water sports enthusiasts, at the Boot und Fun Berlin trade fair from 29 to 30 November at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds at the Radio Tower, and at the boot D\u00fcsseldorf trade fair from 20 to 28 January 2024 at the D\u00fcsseldorf Exhibition Grounds, to enable visitors to easily exchange their recreational boating licences for a credit card format: Fill out the application and direct debit authorisation directly at the stand, hand in the old licence or show it and take it home with you as a souvenir if you wish. You can even have your passport photo taken at the stand - it couldn't be quicker or easier.<\/p>\n

Whether via the DMYV office or at the trade fair stand: the new card driving licence is then automatically sent directly to your home by post from the Bundesdruckerei.<\/p>\n
