{"id":41707,"date":"2024-12-06T09:30:00","date_gmt":"2024-12-06T08:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/marineforum.online\/?p=41707"},"modified":"2025-09-29T20:58:10","modified_gmt":"2025-09-29T18:58:10","slug":"task-force-supplier-frankfurt-am-main-returns","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/marineforum.online\/en\/einsatzgruppenversorger-frankfurt-am-main-kehrt-zurueck\/","title":{"rendered":"Task force provider \"Frankfurt am Main\" is back"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Today, the EGV \"Frankfurt am Main\" returned from the Indo-Pacific Deployment 2024 (IPD) in Wilhelmshaven.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>08 December 2024<\/p>\n<p>Under the command of frigate captain Hanno Weisensee, the crew set sail from Wilhelmshaven in May 2024 to take part in IPD 2024 together with the frigate \"Baden- W\u00fcrttemberg\". The operation took the crew around the world. For example, the naval unit was deployed in New York, Honolulu, Tokyo, Incheon, Singapore and Goa. Looking back, the IPD was a voyage with many tasks and challenges for the crew. These included many highlights and lasting memories, such as the German Navy's first participation in the world's largest maritime manoeuvre, Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC). But also the passage of the Panama Canal, the Straits of Taiwan and Malacca - in short - the impressions of the entire voyage will remain in the memory. The ship returns home with 191 servicemen and women. This means that the ship has travelled around the world almost twice.
