Switzerland is now followed by China.<\/p>\n<p>The decisive factor is the dimensionless gross tonnage (GT) of the container ships travelling under national control.<\/p>\n<p>1. with 34.7 million GT - Switzerland<br \/>\n2. with 31.0 million GT - China<br \/>\n3. with 30.2 million GT - Germany<\/p>\n<p>The title is now held by an Alpine country that doesn't even have access to the sea.
