In April, units from the Royal Netherlands Sea Rescue Organisation (KNRM) were called out for a medical evacuation. Two crew members on board the \"Glomar Venture\" (built in 1990, Panama flag) had been injured while travelling on the North Sea. It was later reported in the Dutch media that the ship had collided with a wind turbine.<\/p>\n
A lifeboat had taken the two injured people on board and handed them over to an ambulance in Den Helder. Two other lifeboats and a Dutch coastguard vessel escorted the \"Glomar Venture\" safely into the harbour of Den Helder. Glomar Offshore B.V. is a private Dutch company based in Den Helder and operates a fleet of vessels specially built for offshore operations, including the rescue vessel \"Glomar Venture\".<\/p>\n
