09 September 2025 - The challenge of the future - How is the profession of pilot changing? Hamburg<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n

The future is uncertain. Whether it's digitalisation, autonomous vehicles or a shortage of skilled workers, the future of the maritime industry is foggy. It's no different for the pilots who bring the world's merchant ships safely into German harbours. With the symposium \"The challenge of the future - how is the profession of pilot changing?\", the industry and pilots are shedding light on the subject.<\/p>\n

From digital solutions to projects for autonomous vehicles, everything is included. The companies Danelec, TRENZ GmbH and VARD will give us an insight into their solutions for the digital age. Representatives of the German pilots, Erik Dalege from the Federal Chamber of Pilots and Sven Stemmler from the Federal Association of Sea and Harbour Pilots, give us valuable comments on the difficulties that the digital age presents to pilots and where they see the future of pilots.<\/p>\n
