These developments are opening up international market opportunities, which will also be visible at SMM 2026. Programmes such as the <em>Maritime Amrit Kaal Vision<\/em> aim to make India one of the top 5 shipbuilding nations by 2045. Around 35 Indian companies are expected to exhibit at SMM 2026, focusing on topics such as AI, maritime security, decarbonisation and digital port solutions. The visit served to strengthen economic, security and geopolitical relations between Germany and India.
