A new <strong>Data interface to the GEDMS (Gigabit Ethernet Data Multiplex System)<\/strong> was created. This interface now enables the <strong>bidirectional exchange of navigation data<\/strong> and the reception of <strong>Sensor status information<\/strong> from <strong>AEGIS-approved sensors<\/strong>. A special software module was developed for this extension, which harmonises data formats and is deeply integrated into SYNAPSIS. In addition, the <strong>Conning application<\/strong> The GEDMS interface has been extended so that the status of the AEGIS sensors can be displayed directly - giving operators faster and more efficient control. The new GEDMS interface strengthens the <strong>Modular and scalable architecture<\/strong> of SYNAPSIS and reduces technical risks in future marine projects through a pre-validated engineering approach. This improves interoperability with AEGIS systems and data consistency across the fleet. SYNAPSIS is already widely used, including on ships such as the Class 125 frigate and the K 130 corvette of the German Navy. It is also used by the Royal Navy on the Type 26 and Type 31 frigates and on over 1,200 ships worldwide.
