The package comprises eight sets. In addition to the AEGIS Integrated Combat System (Airborne Early Warning Ground Environment Integration Segment), these include AN/SPY-6 radars, Mk-41 vertical launch systems (VLS), AN/SPQ-9B fire control radars, electronic warfare systems, GPS-based navigation systems, command and control and communication systems, data link solutions, encryption modules and other sensor technology.

The procurement makes Germany the first international customer for Raytheon's new SPY-6 phased array radar and integrates the Bundeswehr into NATO's AEGIS fleet. The future command and control and battle management system of the F127 is based on a digital architecture that will enable artificial intelligence, model-based engineering, continuous modernisation and cyber security throughout its entire life cycle.

<img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" class="wp-image-54815 size-large" title="Dimension of a SPY-6 radar. This will enable crews to recognise threats in real time, make decisions more quickly and deploy weapons more precisely. The F127 thus marks a further step towards networked and highly automated naval warfare and, with AEGIS, the navy is heading into a new operational dimension.

kdk, The Maritime Executive

With the procurement for the frigate 127, Germany becomes the first international customer of the new phased array radar SPY-6 from Raytheon and will be part of NATO's AEGIS fleet for the first time.

[51,486,42,52
12773,8096,12770,12771,12777,182,12778,4825,12774,12769,12767,1494,12766,253,12772,340,1608,7100,12775,12765,4235,12768,165,12776
post-54807","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-streitkraefte-news","category-headlines","category-news","category-technologie-news","tag-aegis-integrated-combat-system-ics","tag-aegis-kampfsystem","tag-airborne-early-warning-ground-environment-integration-segment","tag-an-spy-6-radare","tag-datenverbund","tag-deutsche-marine","tag-einsatzdimension","tag-f127","tag-feuerleitradare","tag-fms-foreign-military-sales","tag-fregatte-klasse-127","tag-lockheed-martin","tag-luftverteidigungsfregatten","tag-marineflieger","tag-mk-41-senkrechtstartanlagen-vls","tag-nato","tag-netzwerk","tag-p-8a-poseidon-seefernaufklaerer","tag-phasengesteuerte-radare","tag-raytheon-technologies","tag-sensorik","tag-us-aussenministerium","tag-usa","tag-verschluesselung
["GET
