{"id":54938,"date":"2026-05-15T16:51:46","date_gmt":"2026-05-15T14:51:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/marineforum.online\/?p=54938"},"modified":"2026-05-15T16:51:32","modified_gmt":"2026-05-15T14:51:32","slug":"ships-return-from-northern-norway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/marineforum.online\/en\/schiffe-kehren-aus-nordnorwegen-zurueck\/","title":{"rendered":"Mj\u00f8lner 2026: Ships return from northern Norway"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Credible deterrence: Today, the frigates \u201eSachsen-Anhalt\u201c and \u201eHamburg\u201c and the task force provider \u201eBonn\u201c returned to their home port of Wilhelmshaven from the Mj\u00f8lner 2026 manoeuvre.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Around 2,500 soldiers from Norway, Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands and Germany took part in the exercise. A total of eight ships and forces from the Norwegian land forces took part in the exercise. On the German side, the corvettes \u201eBraunschweig\u201c and \u201eErfurt\u201c from Warnem\u00fcnde took part alongside the ships mentioned above. The crews had to react within a very short space of time and defend themselves against the realistic threats. \u201eThis exercise is an indispensable part of our operational readiness. It shows that we are capable of acting together and sends a strong signal of unity,\u201c summarised the leader of the association, Captain Jan Hackstein. The participating nations wanted to use the exercise to prove that it is possible to work together effectively on the basis of common procedures and fast information channels. In two years' time, Mj\u00f8lner 2028 will take place under Norwegian leadership. It was the first time that Germany led the exercise as a whole and led the preparations.\u00a0<span class=\"BxUVEf ILfuVd\" lang=\"de\"><span class=\"hgKElc pOOWX\">The name \"Mj\u00f8lner\" comes from Viking mythology.
