{"id":55096,"date":"2026-05-23T09:36:00","date_gmt":"2026-05-23T07:36:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/marineforum.online\/?p=55096"},"modified":"2026-05-22T13:51:40","modified_gmt":"2026-05-22T11:51:40","slug":"playmobil-exhibition-maritime-history-hamburg-immh","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/marineforum.online\/en\/playmobil-ausstellung-maritime-geschichte-hamburg-immh\/","title":{"rendered":"PLAYMOBIL - Pirate alarm at the IMMH"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"77\"><strong>25,000 PLAYMOBIL elements tell a maritime story<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"79\" data-end=\"327\">Hamburg, 04 May 2026 - With around 25,000 PLAYMOBIL figures and parts, the International Maritime Museum Hamburg (IMMH) will be showcasing the history of seafaring in its special exhibition \u201eExperience Maritime History with PLAYMOBIL\u201c from 8 May 2026.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"329\" data-end=\"512\">The exhibition invites visitors of all ages on a journey through maritime history. It can be seen daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. until 8 November 2026.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"514\" data-end=\"1056\">At the heart of the exhibition are ten elaborately designed dioramas by renowned PLAYMOBIL artist Oliver Schaffer. Using thousands of figures and components, the Hamburg-based diorama artist has created historical scenes that look like snapshots from times gone by: The first sailors navigate the Nile, a Roman galley sets sail for battle, medieval merchants trade in the Orient. More recent history is also covered - from industrialisation and container shipping to polar and deep-sea research.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1058\" data-end=\"1361\">The scenes are complemented by audio stations with age-appropriate explanations of the respective eras.
