Es soll als vorgeschobene Sensorplattform mit einem aktiv arbeitenden Compact-FLASH-Tauchsonar von Thales die Suche und Verfolgung von U-Booten unterst\u00fctzen.<\/p>\n<p>Nach den vorliegenden Angaben arbeitet das Sonar im Niederfrequenzbereich und nutzt eine Breitbandarchitektur. Dadurch soll es U-Boote \u00fcber gr\u00f6\u00dfere Entfernungen erfassen und akustische St\u00f6rungen unter Wasser besser von m\u00f6glichen Zielen unterscheiden. Bild: Thales\n\t\t\t\t<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p>Automatisierte Funktionen f\u00fcr das Ausbringen und Bergen des zus\u00e4tzlichen Sensortr\u00e4gers sollen eine schnelle Neupositionierung der Drohne erm\u00f6glichen. Nach dem Aussetzen \u00fcbernimmt das Fahrzeug die Aufgabe einer vorgeschobenen Sensorplattform. Die Fregatten k\u00f6nnen damit die Unterwasserlage \u00fcber gr\u00f6\u00dfere Entfernungen erfassen, ohne die Suche ausschlie\u00dflich mit bordeigenen Sensoren oder dem Hubschrauber durchf\u00fchren zu m\u00fcssen. Wegen der technischen Komplexit\u00e4t und der verl\u00e4ngerten Entwurfsphase werden die neuen ASW-Fregatten der K\u00f6niglich-Niederl\u00e4ndischen Marine voraussichtlich erst ab 2033 zulaufen.<\/p>\n<p>Das niederl\u00e4ndische Verteidigungsministerium bewertet das USV als Erg\u00e4nzung der bisherigen F\u00e4higkeiten zur U-Boot-Abwehr und hat Dutch Naval Design (DND) mit dem Entwurf beauftragt. DND ist eine Partnerschaft von Regierung, Industrie, Hochschulen und Forschungseinrichtungen.
