The Spanish navy has now decided to purchase the navigation system from iXblue. With the Marins INS, the French company will supply the inertial navigation system. The Netans system for calculating and distributing the navigation data on board also comes from iXblue. With a length of 145 metres, the new frigates will displace around 6100 tonnes. 150 soldiers will serve on board. The planned armament includes a 127-millimetre cannon on the forecastle, a VLS system Mk 41 with 16 cells to accommodate the SM-2 and Evolved Sea Sparrow. There will also be 2x4 Harpoon launchers.
