Prior to this, the 7400-tonne unit, whose keel laying was celebrated in October 2011, was pulled out of the assembly hall. In future, the nuclear-powered submarine will operate under the name <span style=\"font-variant: small-caps;\">Anson<\/span> sail the world's oceans.<br \/>\nAll seven boats in the <span style=\"font-variant: small-caps;\">Astute<\/span>-class are currently under construction or have already been delivered to the Royal Navy. Their unit price is around 1.7 billion pounds. In return, they offer the taxpayer the certainty of being able to fire up to 38 Tomahawk Block IVs worldwide, depending on the load. The boats are 97 metres long and have a draught of ten metres. The boats in the <span style=\"font-variant: small-caps;\">Astute<\/span>-class and can reach speeds of up to 30 knots under water thanks to their nuclear propulsion.
