Fires are one of the most frequent and dangerous causes of accidents in shipping - and the most spectacular in recent times have been fires on container ships. Repair of naval vessels in Bremerhaven

Bredo Dry Docks in Bremerhaven looks back on a long tradition of repairing naval vessels. The shipyard developed from IVG Schiffs- und Motorenreparaturwerk, which was founded in 1957 and renamed Motorenwerke Bremerhaven in 1962. MWB was created from this in 1994.
