Registration for the 3rd charity run is now open Registration for the third charity run of the Bundeswehr and reservists running team has been open since 6 June. TAGUNG - Maritime Power - Ideology, Reality, Politics and Representation

Joint conference of the Bundeswehr Centre for Military History and Social Sciences in Potsdam, the German Naval Museum in Wilhelmshaven and the Freundeskreis Marineschule Mürwik e.V. in Flensburg-Mürwik "Sea power", as shown by the current debate on the armament of the USA, Russia and China, but also of smaller powers at sea, appears to be just as important today as it was in past centuries. The aim of the conference is to analyse the historical dimension of the meaning of "naval power", its theoretical justification and its manifestations using selected examples. Linked to this is the attempt to musealise the topic of "sea power" for visitors in an understandable way and thus make it comprehensible to the general public.
