Anniversary visit to Guam

The Spanish sail training ship Juan Sebastian de Elcano arrived at the Arpa Port of the US Naval Base Guam on 26 February 2021. She was welcomed by the Commander of the Joint Region Marianas, Rear Admiral John Menoni, the Governor of Guam, Lou Leon Guerro, and her deputy Joshua Tenorio. The visit commemorates the 500th anniversary of the first circumnavigation of the globe. The armada at the time was under the command of Ferdinand Magellan. Norway opens its floating supermarket

The Royal Norwegian Navy's newest ship, the supply vessel Maud, completed its first supply manoeuvre at sea (RAS) under operational conditions last week. It was partnered by the frigate Fridtjof Nansen , which has been back at sea since January after a lengthy stay in the shipyard. Both ships are taking part in the Norwegian TG-21-1 exercise, which brings together Norwegian and allied warships and submarines for training in a challenging coastal and fjord system in Norway.
