Zum ersten Mal hat Frankreich das Kommando über einen den vier ständigen maritimen Einsatzverbände der NATO übernommen. Während einer teilweise virtuellen Zeremonie übertrug der Stellvertretende Kommandeur des NATO Maritime Commands, Vizeadmiral Didier Piaton, das Kommando über die Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group 2 (SNMCMG 2) an Commander Gregory Guiran.
