Soldiers from the Dutch Corps Mariniers from Aruba and St. Maarten have been training together with American Marines. To this end, they were hosted by II Marine Expeditionary Forces in North Carolina for the Carribean Urban Warrior 21 exercise. März stoppte die Besatzung des Hubschrauberträgers Dixmude im Golf von Guinea einen verdächtigen Frachter. Das unter der Flagge von St. Kitts und Nevis fahrende Schiff kam aus Südamerika. Die eingesetzten Boarding-Soldaten fanden verdächtige Ballen, die sich als mit Kokain gefüllt herausstellten. Aufgrund der Schiffsgröße dauerte die Aktion einen ganzen Tag. On 25 March, the first of three Multi-Mission Inshore Patrol Vessels (MMIPVs) was launched at Damen Shipyards Cape Town (DSCT). The boats are to be used in the fight against drug trafficking and illegal fishing. The boat, which weighs more than 600 tonnes, was brought from the shipyard to the Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA) synchrolift at the Victoria & Alfred (V&A) Waterfront basin on the evening of 23 March.
