Red Sea and EUNAVFOR Aspides: Frigate "Hessen" departs

The actual voyage to the operational area began with the manoeuvre whistle of the anti-aircraft frigate "Hessen" (F 221, class 124) in Wilhelmshaven's 4th entry shortly before ten o'clock. The departure took place in wintry calm seas and moderate visibility, but it will probably not stay that way for long. The frigate "Hessen" has been ordered to the Mediterranean by the naval command in order to be able to join the units of the EU Operation Aspides (Shield) immediately following the necessary parliamentary decision. Russia's LNG projects make progress despite sanctions

Russia's largest producer of liquefied natural gas (LNG), Novatek, has completed the first line of its "Arctic LNG 2" project despite US and EU sanctions. The first LNG deliveries are scheduled to be shipped in the first quarter of 2024. PROFILE Arctic LNG 2 will have three production strings that can produce a total of 19.8 million tonnes per year.
