In August 2023, the two-week Southeast Asia Cooperation and Training (SEACAT 23) took place in Singapore under the leadership of the US 7th Fleet. The naval ship's command (MSchLtg) from Hamburg took part in the multinational exercise series for the second time in a row. For the first time, however, members of the MSchLtg also gave presentations on maritime security topics during the exercise. Scope of the exercise 20 nations took part in SEACAT 23. Federal Minister of Defence Boris Pistorius visited the Warnowwerft naval arsenal (MArs) in Rostock-Warnemünde on Thursday, 21 September 2023, to find out about the order, capacity utilisation and infrastructure. The Bundeswehr took over the site of the former MV shipyards last summer. Instead of building cruise ships, naval vessels are now to be serviced here. Bereits im August erreichte uns der Bericht von ungewöhnlichen Wartungsarbeiten am Schleswig-holsteinischen Landtag. Dort steht ein Unterwant der Gorch Fock, welches einigen Pflegearbeiten durch die Besatzung des Segelschulschiff unterzogen wurde. Es ist an der Nordseite des Landeshauses in Kiel aufgestellt. Ein weiteres Zeichen der herausragenden Patenschaft zwischen dem Segelschulschiff der Deutschen Marine und dem Schleswig-holsteinischen Landtag. Das Unterwant der „Gorch Fock“ ist ein Patenschaftsgeschenk, dass Schiffsführung und die Deutschen Marine dem Landtag im Umfeld der Kieler Woche 2004 übergeben haben. Am Dienstag, den 19. September 2023 um 13 Uhr, wird der Kommandeur des Troßgeschwaders, Fregattenkapitän Thorsten Geldmacher das Kommando über den Einsatzgruppenversorger „Berlin“ von Fregattenkapitän Stefan Klatt an Fregattenkapitän Karsten Uwe Schlüter übergeben. Die Zeremonie wird auf dem Einsatzgruppenversorger „Berlin“ auf der Werft „German Naval Yards“ in Kiel stattfinden. Fregattenkapitän Klatt übernahm im Jahr 2019 den Dienstposten des Kommandanten auf der „Berlin“. Zukünftig wird er im Marinekommando in Rostock als Referent Konzeption und Weiterentwicklung tätig sein und damit an dem Erhalt und der Optimierung der Zukunftsfähigkeit der Marine mitwirken.
