Square concert in Bremerhaven

Public concert in the Bremerhaven fishing port and commissioning of the Bremerhaven Home Guard Company To mark the conclusion of the Fishtown Guard 2024 Bundeswehr exercise, the Bremen State Command would like to thank all participating organisations, local residents and the people of Bremerhaven for their support. On 18.09.2024, 15:00, the Bremen State Command therefore invites you to a public concert in the Bremerhaven fishing harbour. The Wilhelmshaven Naval Music Corps will be playing under the direction of Frigate Captain Matthias Prock. As part of this event, Major General Andreas Henne, Deputy Commander of the Territorial Command of the Bundeswehr, will commission the Bremerhaven Home Defence Company.

Weilheim joins the NATO organisation

On Monday, 16 September 2024, the minehunting vessel "Weilheim", which is part of the 3rd Minehunting Squadron, will leave its home port of Kiel. Together with the tender "Werra", the "Weilheim" will provide the German contribution to the Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group 1 (SNMCMG 1) for the North Sea and Baltic Sea area over the next six months. For Corvette Captain Maximilian Hirnstein, this is the first major voyage in his role as commander of the "Weilheim". Until now, unfortunately, little has been known about the activities of the permanent mine defence unit SNMMCMG 1.
