After two years, the German Navy is returning to the Indo-Pacific. Together with the German Air Force, it will take international cooperation in the region to a new level.
This year's Indo-Pacific Deployment of the German Air Force and Navy renews the German signal of wanting to contribute more to the security of the community of values in the region. Both branches of the armed forces will be deployed together for several months between the west coast of America and the east coast of Africa.
The Bundeswehr has been flying the flag in this region for four years. The first step was taken by the frigate BAYERN with its training cruise abroad from August 2021 to February 2022, followed by the air force in summer 2022,
