A look back at the 16th edition of this outstanding event with co-organiser Heinz Schulte from DVV Media. In the interview, Mr Schulte reflects on the development of the convention since its foundation in 2007, when the idea of a central anchor event in Berlin was born under the then President, former Vice Admiral Lutz Feldt, and in cooperation with the publishing house - a first for the maritime industry. This year's convention is being organised under the exciting theme of "Maritime Germany and its global perception". To mark the anniversaries - 175 years of the German Navy and 50 years of the German Marine Institute, now the German Maritime Institute (DMI) - the event offers a unique perspective on how Germany's maritime sector is viewed from the outside.
