Rohde & Schwarz supplies NAVICS for Australian Border Force patrol boats built in Australia

Rohde & Schwarz supplies and integrates the NAVICS communication system on two new Evolved Cape Class patrol boats for the Australian Border Force (ABF). The boats are being built by Austal in Western Australia. NAVICS is based on a modern, IP-based multi-level security architecture and will significantly improve the ABF's on-board communications capability. The agreement continues the long-standing partnership between Rohde & Schwarz and Austal, who have previously supplied similar systems to the Royal Australian Navy. Both companies emphasise their experience and the importance of working together for the Australian defence industry.
