CO 2 pollution: Rotterdam is the front runner
In European comparison: Hamburg in third place! Transport & Environment (T&E), a non-profit organisation that campaigns for clean transport, has published a ranking of European ports by carbon emissions. This shows that ports need to do more to make shipping cleaner. Rotterdam was categorised as Europe's port with the highest carbon dioxide emissions.
