ATLAS manufactures four drones for the minehunting boats The German Navy is receiving "SeaCat" underwater reconnaissance drones for its Class 332 minehunting boats, financed by the special fund for the Bundeswehr. South Korean Navy in Hamburg

Visit by two South Korean naval vessels to the Hanseatic city The training ship ROKS HANSANDO and the supply vessel ROKS HWACHEON are visiting the Hanseatic city for the first time and will be offering Open Ship from 29 to 31 October 2023. Naval association calls for more appreciation for veterans

At the 112th Congress of Representatives of the German Naval Association in Hamelin, around 200 delegates called on the German government to establish a Veterans' Day. Benefit concert in Bremen Cathedral

The Wilhelmshaven Naval Music Corps plays for the campaign "Sorgenkinder in Bundeswehrfamilien" The Bremen State Command is delighted to be able to organise a very special concert event. Together with the Bundeswehr-Sozialwerk e.V., there will be a charity concert on 2 November 2023 in St. Peter's Cathedral in Bremen. The "LI" of U 96 - now Friedrich Grade has disembarked after all!

The longest-lived member of the Naval Officers' Association, retired Captain Friedrich Grade (Crew 35), passed away on Friday, 13 October 2023 in Bornheim am Rhein, just north of Bonn, in the Beethoven retirement home at the age of 107. The cult film "Das Boot" made U 96 and its naval officer - or chief engineer, as it was known at the time - famous. Friedrich Grade was the last survivor of the submarine U 96, which sank 29 ships and damaged four on eleven voyages during the Second World War.
