Eckernförde: Fleet commander sets up new KSM units

Am 5. April 2023 werden um 14:30 Uhr die neuen Einheiten des Kommandos Spezialkräfte der Marine (KSM) durch den Befehlshaber der Flotte und Unterstützungskräfte und Stellvertreter Inspekteur der Marine, Vizeadmiral Frank Lenski (61), im Rahmen eines feierlichen Appells in Dienst gestellt. Die neue Struktur und damit eine deutliche Vergrößerung des KSM wurde schon vor einigen Zeit durch das Verteidigungsministerium gebilligt. Nun nimmt die Struktur "KSM 2023+" mit großen Schritten Fahrt auf. Beginnend ab dem 1. April 2023 wird die älteste Spezialeinheit der Bundeswehr damit bis 2025 auf ca. 600 Dienstposten aufwachsen. März 2023 um 10 Uhr, wird das Segelschulschiff der Deutschen Marine, die "Gorch Fock", die Stadt Kiel nach langer Winterpause zur 175. Auslandsausbildungsreise verlassen und somit zum 175. Gründungsjubiläum der Deutschen Marinen nicht in ihrem Heimathafen liegen. Unter dem Kommando von Kapitän zur See Andreas-Peter Graf von Kielmansegg (56) geht die Reise im Jubiläumsjahr zunächst Richtung Süden, nach Spanien und Portugal.
