Steeped in history. Traditional. Time-honoured. These and similar terms are quickly associated with the alma mater of naval officers, the Mürwik Naval School (MSM). The "Red Castle by the Sea", built between 1907 and 1910 by building councillor Adalbert Kelm in the style of the Marienburg of the Teutonic Order according to the ideas of Emperor Wilhelm II, undoubtedly looks back on a long, albeit very eventful history.
