Der Einsatzgruppenversorger (EGV) BERLIN wird mit einem integrierten Marine Einsatzrettungszentrum (i-Merz) ausgerüstet. Bereits am Tag nach der Zustimmung des Haushaltsausschusses Ende März haben die Vizepräsidentin des Bundesamts für Ausrüstung, Informationstechnik und Nutzung der Bundeswehr (BAAINBw), Annette Lehnigk-Emden, und der Geschäftsführer von German Naval Yards Kiel, Rino Brugge, den Vertrag über Bau und Integration des i-Merz unterzeichnet. Nach Angabe des Verteidigungsministeriums beträgt der Vertragswert rund 42 Millionen Euro. Die Finanzierung erfolgt aus dem Einzelplan 14. The American armed forces are lagging behind the Russians in the development of hypersonic weapons. A development programme has now been initiated for the Navy's fighter-bombers.
