Wehrtechnische Dienststelle 71 für Schiffe und Marinewaffen, Maritime Technologie und Forschung (WTD 71) in Eckernförde is to receive two new STS boats from the Tamsen Maritim shipyard in Rostock. STS stands for the three main tasks of security, transport and towing. The workboats will replace the class 744 and will be delivered to WTD 71 with a time delay from the end of 2022.
