Dear ladies and gentlemen, dear members, there are again some things that are important for the internal operation of our three clubs: 1. change of bank details We have "moved" our accounts from Commerzbank Bonn to Volksbank Wilhelmshaven eG. This was necessary to ensure direct personal access in the processing of our financial affairs. The accounts at Postbank remain unchanged except for DMI. Here the Postbank account will be cancelled. On 8.11.23 we will hear a lecture by our honorary chairman Prof. Kulik on the subject of German sail training ships and their fates. This is a truly maritime topic that we can look forward to. Our Christmas party is on 13 December. There will be mulled wine, punch and biscuits. I'm also bringing a Baumkuchen again. I'm also organising music as in previous years. I'm hoping for a large turnout. Mr Schafitel and his team have looked after us well throughout the year. We will not have a Naval Officers' Fair in January 2024. It will continue in February 2024. If the local press is to be believed, more than 10,000 guests from near and far visited the Heppenser Groden naval base on Saturday 17 June at the Armed Forces Day. The entire Bundeswehr, not just the armed forces, had put on a "proper" display in the truest sense of the word. The many interested visitors were able to obtain comprehensive information. The MOV, MOH and DMI had set up a joint information stand in a prominent position on the western pier.
