Ladies and gentlemen, dear MOV members, together we did it - thank you! On Monday, 28 June, the Extraordinary General Meeting was successfully concluded by circulation. After doubting a fortnight ago that we would achieve the required 50% responses, we received another significant boost in feedback from you by letter and email last week. At the end of the process, we have received over 55% of votes with well over 90% in favour of the individual resolution points. A detailed evaluation is currently underway. This means that the actions of the Executive Board for the 2019 and 2020 financial years have been approved and the 2021...

Dear MOV members, we are now halfway through the circular vote phase and are entering the decisive phase. We have now received feedback from 36.4% of our members and are therefore still a long way from the minimum 50% we need for the resolutions to be valid. Expressed in figures: We have written to around 2,950 members with voting rights, 50% means 1475 necessary responses. We have just 1,076. 1,874 of our members have not yet responded! Therefore, on behalf of the entire Board, I would like to remind you once again of this very important vote, which is still open until 26....

Ladies and gentlemen, dear members, you will still find the documents for the planned general meeting on 5 June 2021 in the yellow pages of the print edition of MarineForum 05-2021. Due to the pandemic situation, the Board of Directors has decided to postpone this in-person event rather than hold it. The twilight pint planned for 4 June at the German Naval Museum will also be postponed. However, as the MOV's ability to act must be maintained, the Executive Board, VAdm a.D. Nolting, has decided, in accordance with our Articles of Association, to first convene an Extraordinary General Meeting and hold it by way of circulation by e-mail and post. The latter is possible due to the current legal situation regarding the association's work....
