Last week, the deputy envoy of the Kingdom of Thailand in Germany, Mrs Viphawan Benniman, presented a Gorch Fock model to the board of the Marine-Offizier-Vereinigung e.V., Mr Vice Admiral (ret.) Nolting. The 1:90 scale model was built by retired Admiral Samart Champirat of the Royal Thai Navy. Admiral Champirat underwent four years of German naval officer training with the X/70. As you have probably already noticed, the password from the Yellow Pages for the member login on our homepage for access to the PDF formats of the marineforum is no longer active. Many a member will have asked themselves this in these times of the circulation procedure in order to enter the membership number on the ballot papers, which is on this card. Ladies and gentlemen, dear MOV members, together we did it - thank you! On Monday, 28 June, the Extraordinary General Meeting was successfully concluded by circulation. After doubting a fortnight ago that we would achieve the required 50% responses, we received another significant boost in feedback from you by letter and email last week. At the end of the process, we have received over 55% of votes with well over 90% in favour of the individual resolution points. A detailed evaluation is currently underway. Dear MOV members, we are now halfway through the circular vote phase and are entering the decisive phase. We have now received feedback from 36.4% of our members and are therefore still a long way from the minimum 50% we need for the resolutions to be valid. Expressed in figures: We have written to around 2,950 members with voting rights, 50% means 1475 necessary responses. We have just 1,076. 1,874 of our members have not yet responded!
