Old wine in new bottles: faster procurement?

In May 2022, it became known that the Ministry of Defence was working on a draft law to accelerate procurement measures of the German Armed Forces - "in short" the Bundeswehr Procurement Acceleration Act (BwBBG) - and, as the smooth name suggests, the law is intended to "apply facilitations under public procurement law to accelerate the awarding of public contracts", according to a formulation aid from the Federal Government. Together again at last

Swearing in of junior officers at Mürwik Naval Academy On Friday, 23 September at 10 a.m., Crew 2022 will be sworn in at Mürwik Naval Academy (MSM) in front of relatives and visitors as well as high-ranking guests from politics, society and the Bundeswehr. The award ceremony took place on 17 September 2022 on board the frigate BAYERN. On the occasion of the reception for the 833rd Hamburg Harbour Birthday on board the frigate BAYERN, Captain Michael Giss, Commander of the Hamburg State Command, presented Peter Tamm with the Bundeswehr Cross of Honour in bronze on behalf of the Federal Minister of Defence Christine Lambrecht.
