Second IRIS-T SLM firing unit delivered to Ukraine

As a result, two fire units were handed over to the customer within just six months, significantly improving its defence capabilities. Denmark: Hull Vane for OPV NORDSØEN

At the beginning of May 2023, the Hvide Sande shipyard on the Danish west coast handed over the first offshore patrol vessel (OPV) to the Danish Fisheries Agency. It was delivered with azimuth propulsion nacelles and in combination with a guide plate (hull vane) under the stern. A hull vane smoothes out the turbulence behind a moving ship and makes it faster and quieter, i.e. more efficient. At the same time, the sea behaviour is improved. Submarine on the Rhine near Bonn and Koblenz - U17 on its way to Speyer

In mid-May, there will be a rare spectacle on the Rhine from Cologne via Bonn and Koblenz: A decommissioned German Navy submarine is on its way from Kiel on the Baltic Sea to Speyer on the Rhine in Rhineland-Palatinate. It is the U17 - an almost 50 metre long type 206A naval submarine that displaces around 500 tonnes when submerged. However, it will not be travelling through the Rhine itself, but will be transported on a floating pontoon from Kiel to Speyer in Rhineland-Palatinate. There it will be refurbished at the Technik Museum Speyer and is expected to be transferred to the Technik Museum Sinsheim a year later.

rheinmetall: MASS decoy system for Australian Navy

From a Rheinmetall press release The Royal Australian Navy has ordered MASS (Multi Ammunition Softkill System) ship protection systems from Rheinmetall for its three Hobart-class destroyers and ten Anzac-class frigates.
