With the start of production of the fourth and, for the time being, last Multi-purpose corvette of the Pohjanmaa class, the Rauma Marine Constructions (RMC) shipyard now has all four units of the so-called Squadron 2020 programme under construction in parallel. The new Corvettes (4,300 tonnes), a total of seven older units of the Finnish The new vessels will replace four Rauma-class fast patrol boats, two Hämeenmaa-class minelayers and the already decommissioned minelayer Pohjanmaa.
