Tradition and technology: France names its next carrier: French President Emmanuel Macron announced the name of the future aircraft carrier in March. The programme previously known as „Porte-Avions de Nouvelle Génération“ (PANG) will lead to the carrier „France Libre“.
With a length of around 310 metres, a width of around 90 metres and a displacement of around 80,000 tonnes
